As a leader in her field, Dr. Nyasha has contributed to medical literature through research publications and has spoken at national and international conferences. Advocacy for women's health issues is important to Dr. Nyasha, and she actively participates in professional organizations dedicated to advancing gynaecological care.
After completing her undergraduate studies in Biomedical Science, Dr. Nyasha completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney in 2009.
She went on to complete a Master’s in International Public Health with a focus on Women’s Health at the University of New South Wales.
She then went on to complete her 6-year specialist training in Obstetrics and gynaecology at Monash Health in Melbourne, where she demonstrated an early affinity for minimally invasive procedures. Recognizing the potential of advanced laparoscopy to transform gynaecological care, she pursued an additional 2-year AGES fellowship training in advanced laparoscopic surgery under the mentorship of Associate Professor Jim Tsaltas. This specialized training equipped her with the knowledge and skills to perform intricate surgeries with minimally invasive techniques, reducing patient discomfort and promoting faster recovery.
